NOTICE OF RACE
SANFORD FALL REGATTA

1 RULES
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
2 ADVERTISING
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
3 ELIGIIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats. Expected classes may include, Catalina 22, Sunfish, Force 5, San Juan 21, Multi-Hull, Open Displacement and Open Planning Classes.
3.2 Five entries of the same make and model will be a class. One-Design classes will be defined by number of early registration entries.
3.3 Eligible boats may enter by completing the online registration at Regatta Network or hard copy registration form and sending it, together with the required fee to:

4 FEES
4.1 Entrance fee as low as $45.00 (after discounts*, includes dinner for skipper)
4.2 Fees and Discounts:
Entrance fee $60.00
Early registration* -$10.00 discount
US Sailing membership* (must provide id#) -$ 5.00 discount
Crew dinners $15.00 each
Early registration* crew dinners -$ 5.00 discount
5 SCHEDULE
5.1 Registration:
*Early registration ends midnight (2400) September 29, 2013. (Registration and payment must be received before deadline to be eligible for the discounts)
Walk-in Registration from 0800 to 1000 on October 5th

5.2 First warning signal on Saturday at 1155. Other races to follow
5.3 First warning signal on Sunday at 0955. Other races to follow
5.4 No series of starts will begin after 1400 on Sunday.
5.5 Five races are scheduled. One completed race is required to constitute a regatta.
6 VENUE
The regatta will be held on Lake Monroe in Sanford, Florida. Regatta organizing headquarters is located at LMSA Office, 531 N. Palmetto Ave, Sanford FL 32771
7 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available after 0800 on October 5, 2013
8 COURSES
8.1 Courses will be contained in the Sailing Instructions. Courses will be windward-leeward and / or triangle with drop marks.
9 SCORING
The low point scoring system of Appendix A will be used. No races will be excluded.
10 SUPPORT BOATS
Support Boats will be marked with a flag.
11 BERTHING
11.1 Slips may be available at Wolfy?s or at Monroe Harbour Marina.
11.2 Contact the Marina at (407) 322-2910 for information on slips, mention Regatta Rate ($15.00 per night).
12 RADIO / TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION
Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make a radio transmission while racing nor a receive radio communication not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
13 PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers of their class.
14 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4 ?Decision to Race.? The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.
