A. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current Racing
Rules of Sailing.

B. Eligibility and Entry
The regatta is open to all boats. Expected classes may include San Juan
21, Catalina 22, Flying Scots, and Portsmouth Class. Portsmouth boats
shall use D-PN rating system.
Six paid entries of the same make and model will constitute a class. Five
races will be scheduled. One completed race constitutes a regatta. Eligible
boats may enter the regatta by completing the registration and paying the
required fees on Regatta Network online at www.regattanetwork.com

C. Fees –
Before Nov. 1 – $125.00
Before Dec. 1 – $135.00
Day of Event – $150.00
$5.00 discount for US Sailing Members

D. Schedule
Friday December 1, 2023
Registration: 6:00-8:00pm at the LMSA Clubhouse at the Downtown
Sanford Marina.
Saturday December 2, 2023
Registration: 8:30-10:00am
Skippers Meeting: 11:00am
Warning Signal: 11:55am
Social with snacks and drinks to follow racing
Sunday December 3, 2023
Racing to begin: 10:00am (no skippers meeting)
No Starts After 2:00pm
Awards and Trophies to follow

E. Venue
The regatta will be held on Lake Monroe in Sanford, Florida. Regatta
Organizing headquarters will be at the Lake Monroe Sailing Association
clubhouse at the Downtown Sanford Marina.

F. Sailing Instructions
The sailing instructions will be available at 8:30am Saturday in the
registration area. Additional copies will be available for the skippers
meeting.

G. Courses
Courses will be included in the sailing instructions.

H. Scoring
The low point scoring system of Appendix A Section 4 of the Racing Rules
of Sailing. No scores will be excluded.

I. Support Boats
Support boats will be well marked and identified clearly during the
skippers meeting.

J. Radio Communication
Except in emergencies, a boat shall neither make radio transmission
about the race while racing nor receive radio communications that are not
available to all boats. This rule applies to cellphones.

K. Regatta and Crew Apparel
The regatta shop will be hosted at www.coralreefsailing.com

L. Prizes
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each
class.
M. Disclaimer of Liabilities
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4
of the Racing Rules of Sailing, “Decision to Race.” Participants will sign a
waiver recognizing their understanding of this rule.
